What Sorette Approved™ Means — and Does Not Mean

Sorette Approved™ is our proprietary screening standard developed to help women navigate products during preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood.

We created Sorette Approved™ to bring greater transparency and clarity to categories that are often confusing and under-regulated.

This page explains exactly what that means — and what it does not mean.

What Sorette Approved™ Means

When a product is Sorette Approved™, it means:

  • The product has been evaluated under Sorette™’s proprietary screening framework.

  • Its ingredient list has been reviewed against our No-Go List™.

  • The brand has provided required disclosures under our standard.

  • The product met Sorette™’s criteria at the time of review.

Our standard is informed by:

  • Global regulatory frameworks

  • Ingredient research

  • Evolving scientific literature

  • Expert input

  • Transparency requirements

Sorette Approved™ reflects our interpretation of available information at the time of evaluation.

What Sorette Approved™ Does Not Mean

Sorette Approved™ does not mean:

  • The product is “safe.”

  • The product is “pregnancy-safe.”

  • The product is “non-toxic.”

  • The product is risk-free.

  • The product is medically approved.

  • The product is FDA approved.

  • The product is guaranteed appropriate for every individual.

  • The product eliminates all potential risk.

No product is risk-free. There are gaps in data and research, in addition to individual sensitivities, allergies, health conditions, and pregnancy experiences vary.

Sorette™ makes no representation or warranty that any product is appropriate for a specific medical condition, stage of pregnancy, fertility treatment, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, or infant use.

Our Role

Sorette™ is an editorial and credentialing platform.

We do not:

  • Manufacture products

  • Sell products

  • Conduct individualized medical evaluations

  • Replace medical advice

Products featured on our site are sold by third-party retailers or brands.

Science Evolves

Scientific understanding changes. Regulations change. Products are reformulated.

A product’s Sorette Approved™ status reflects the information available at the time of review and may change if new information emerges.

Always Consult a Professional

Sorette Approved™ is not a substitute for medical advice.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding:

  • Pregnancy

  • Fertility

  • Postpartum recovery

  • Infant health

  • Medications

  • Medical conditions

Our Commitment

Our mission is to provide clarity, transparency, and a research-informed screening standard in an area where consumers are often left to interpret complex information alone.

Sorette Approved™ is a tool to help guide decision-making — not a guarantee.
