This Legal Disclaimer, Terms, Conditions & User Agreement (the “Agreement”) governs your use of Sorette™’s websites, including but not limited to shopsorette.com, soretteapproved.com, any related subdomains, digital tools, databases, educational materials, newsletters, quizzes, events, downloadable resources, social media channels, and related content (collectively, the “Properties”).

By accessing or using Sorette™’s Properties, you agree to be legally bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

Sorette™ reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time without notice. Continued use of the Properties constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.

You represent and warrant that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

1. Nature of Sorette™ and Its Standard

Sorette™ is an editorial, research, and credentialing platform serving the motherhood market, including preconception, pregnancy, postpartum, infant, and related categories.

The Sorette Seal of Approval™ (“Sorette Approved™”) is a proprietary screening framework developed by Sorette™ based on internal criteria, ingredient review methodologies, regulatory references, and expert-informed standards.

Sorette Approved™:

  • Is not a certification of safety

  • Is not a guarantee of safety

  • Is not a medical determination

  • Is not regulatory approval

  • Is not FDA approval

  • Is not a warranty of efficacy

  • Does not eliminate risk

  • Does not ensure suitability for any individual

Sorette™ makes no representation or warranty that any product featured on its Properties is “safe,” “pregnancy-safe,” “non-toxic,” “risk-free,” or appropriate for any specific medical condition or life stage. Any such characterization is a consumer interpretation and not a statement of guarantee by Sorette™.

Sorette™ does not manufacture products.
Sorette™ does not sell products.
Sorette™ does not independently laboratory test all products.
Sorette™ relies, in part, on information provided by brands and publicly available data.

All product use is at your sole risk.

2. No-Go List™

The No-Go List™ is Sorette™’s proprietary ingredient screening framework identifying ingredients restricted or prohibited under Sorette™’s internal standards.

The No-Go List™:

  • Is not a regulatory list

  • Does not replace federal, state, or international law

  • Does not guarantee the absence of risk

  • Reflects Sorette™’s interpretation of available scientific literature at the time of review

Scientific research evolves. Regulatory frameworks change. Ingredient data may be incomplete. Sorette™ makes no warranty that the No-Go List™ is exhaustive or definitive.

3. Dynamic & Evolving Evaluations

Sorette™’s standards, product determinations, educational materials, blog posts, Seal status, and communications are dynamic and may change without notice due to:

  • Emerging scientific findings

  • Regulatory changes

  • Product reformulations

  • Updated ingredient disclosures

  • Methodological revisions

A product’s Sorette Approved™ status may be modified or revoked at any time.

Sorette™ disclaims any obligation to update previously published materials.

4. Editorial Platform & Affiliate Relationship Disclaimer

Sorette™ operates solely as an editorial and referral platform.

Sorette™ does not:

  • Manufacture products

  • Sell products

  • Process payments

  • Store inventory

  • Ship products

  • Handle returns

  • Act as the seller of record

  • Reference Sorette Approved™ status

  • Use Sorette™ screening language

  • Suggest endorsement

without a signed licensing agreement.

Sorette™ disclaims all warranties regarding third-party products displaying the Sorette Marks.

10. Personal Use Restriction

Sorette™’s content is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.

You may not:

  • Copy

  • Reproduce

  • Republish

  • Scrape

  • Sell

  • Create derivative works

  • Use Sorette™ evaluations in marketing

without prior written permission.

11. Risk Acknowledgment

By using Sorette™’s Properties, you acknowledge:

  • No product is risk-free

  • Individual responses vary

  • Ingredient research is evolving

  • Screening standards are interpretive

  • You assume all risks associated with product use

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

  • MERCHANTABILITY

  • COMPLETENESS

  • UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE

NO INFORMATION PROVIDED BY SORETTE™ SHALL CREATE ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED HEREIN.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

SORETTE™, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, ADVISORS, CONTRACTORS, SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

  • DIRECT

  • INDIRECT

  • INCIDENTAL

  • CONSEQUENTIAL

  • SPECIAL

  • EXEMPLARY

  • PUNITIVE DAMAGES

  • LOST PROFITS

  • MEDICAL EXPENSES

  • ATTORNEYS’ FEES

ARISING FROM:

  • USE OF THE PROPERTIES

  • RELIANCE ON CONTENT

  • PRODUCTS PURCHASED THROUGH THIRD-PARTY RETAILERS

  • PRODUCTS DISPLAYING THE SORETTE SEAL OF APPROVAL™

  • AFFILIATE LINKS

  • THIRD-PARTY CLAIMS

IN JURISDICTIONS WHERE LIMITATIONS ARE NOT PERMITTED, LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sorette™, its officers, directors, employees, advisors, contractors, Scientific Advisory Board members, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of:

  1. Your use of the Properties;

  2. Your reliance on Sorette™ content;

  3. Your misuse of products;

  4. Your unauthorized use of the Sorette Marks;

  5. Your breach of this Agreement.

15. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be brought exclusively in Massachusetts courts.
